Matt Valley was born in Lakeland, Florida and moved to Alaska when he was 8 years old. He grew up in North Pole and moved to Anchorage in 1980. Matt attended Bartlett High School and the King Career Center where he was introduced to Radio Broadcasting. After graduating from Bartlett he started hanging out with the wrong crowd and got sucked into radio. Matt began his radio career in Anchorage at 101.3 KGOT in 1987 and has also worked at KPXR (Power 102) and KEAG (KOOL 97.3) He moved back to Florida in 1993 and worked at WOCL (COOL 105.9) in Orlando. Matt found his home in Country Music when he became the Program Director of KBRJ (KBEAR 104.1) in 1995. Matt and his wife Yvonne have been married for over 23 years and have two adult children and a couple of dogs. The only thing Matt loves more than playing on the Radio is camping in his motor-home (The Kraken) with his wife and friends!
