Fair Announces 2008 AT&T Concert Series Line-Up

General Public Tickets on Sale July 1; Advance Tickets Available to Fair Members 

The Alaska State Fair is pleased to announce the entertainment line-up for the 2008 AT&T Concert Series at the Borealis Theatre. 

Confirmed acts for the 2008 concert series include:

Saturday, August 23: Tracy Lawrence Presented by Miller Genuine Draft/Odom Corporation and KBEAR 104.1 FM With multi-platinum album sales, honors such as the 2007 Country Music Academy “Vocal Event of the Year,” and 17 number one singles, including “Find Out Who Your Friends Are,” Tracy Lawrence has earned a place as one of the most important country artists. Show begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $35 general admission and $45 for reserved seating.

Monday, August 25: Emerson Drive Presented by KBEAR 104.1 FMWhat began as a stroll across the stage at a high school talent contest became Emerson Drive, a hot, young, country-rock band busy making hits, like the number one single “Moments,” and raking in honors, including two nominations for this year’s Academy of Country Music Awards. This popular band sold out their show at last year’s Tanana Valley State Fair! Show begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $19.50 general admission and $29.50 for reserved seating.

Saturday, August 30: Charlie Daniels Band Presented by Budweiser and KBEAR 104.1 FM A mix of rock, country, bluegrass, blues and gospel, the Charlie Daniels Band simply labels their sound “CDB music.” From their gold, platinum and triple platinum albums come hits like “The Devil Went Down to Georgia,” “In America” and “Long Haired Country Boy.” Buy your tickets early – this show sold out at the 2007 Fair! Show begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $28 general admission and $38 for reserved seating. 

Concert Times, Locations and TicketsAll shows are held rain or shine at the Borealis Theatre, the Fair’s main stage, which seats about 3,500.

Alaska State Fair Association members may purchase concert tickets before they go on sale to the general public. Advance tickets are available to members until June 30 by calling 907-745-4827, e-mailing info@alaskastatefair.org or writing 2075 Glenn Hwy., Palmer, Alaska  99645.
